What every batch is tested for

| Cannabinoid potency | How much CBD, CBN, CBG, THC, and other cannabinoids are actually present. This is what you check against the label. |
| Delta-9 THC | Confirms the product meets the federal definition of hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill (not more than 0.3 percent delta-9 THC by dry weight). |
| Residual solvents | Whether solvents used in extraction were fully removed. |
| Pesticides | Whether agricultural chemicals carried through from the hemp crop. |
| Heavy metals | Lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury. Hemp is a bioaccumulator and draws metals out of soil, which makes this test more important than people realize. |
| Microbial contaminants | Bacteria, yeast, and mold. |
Who does the testing
Encore Life products are tested by independent laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard for testing and calibration laboratory competence. The laboratory is not owned by, affiliated with, or paid a bonus by Encore Life for any particular result.
Testing is performed on every batch, not on a representative sample sent once a year. The COA published above corresponds to the lot number printed on your product.
How to read a COA
- Check the lot number. It should match the number on your bottle. A COA for a different batch tells you nothing about the product in your hand.
- Check the date. A recent test reflects current production.
- Check the laboratory. Look for ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
- Check potency against the label. The cannabinoid content on the COA should match what the label claims.
- Check the THC line. Confirm delta-9 THC is within the federal limit.
- Check the safety panels. Solvents, pesticides, heavy metals, and microbials should all pass.

What a COA cannot tell you
We would rather be straight with you about the limits of this document.
- A COA tells you what is in the product. It does not tell you what the product will do. It is a chemistry report, not a clinical result.
- A COA is not an FDA evaluation. Encore Life products are hemp-derived CBD products. They are not drugs and have not been evaluated by the FDA to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
- A clean COA does not mean a product is right for you. If you take prescription medications, CBD can interact with the liver enzymes that process them. Talk to your physician or pharmacist first. See Considerations for Older Adults.
Retailers and wholesale accounts
Every COA is published on this page by lot number. We do not include printed certificates in shipments. If a customer asks you for lab results, send them here. The page is public and requires no login.
